SEAL 12-2

Outdoor special two-component polyurethane.

Its high resistance to ultraviolet rays and its capacity to support weatherproof without losing its physical properties make SEAL 12-2 an ideal product to be applied on outdoor floors subject to a continuous traffic with industrial vehicles.

Uses

SEAL 12-2 is a coating for indoor and outdoor concrete floors which need a high chemical and mechanical resistance. It is especially suitable for outdoor sport courts. SEAL 12-2 is also suitable to be applied by the multilayer system with the addition of silica sand which permits to obtain a thickness until 4 mm.

Surface preparation

The surface must be clean and dry and exempt of greases, oils and other pollutants which could affect the product adherence. It is recommended to scrape off or to mill the surface (with a milling machine or a “scrapping” machine) to achieve an open pore surface in order to facilitate a good adherence of the product. In old supports which have been painted before it is necessary to eliminate the remainders of paint and bad stuck particles.

Instructions for use

On new concrete or mortar surfaces apply a first coat with our primer PRIMA 68 and before the next 24 hours apply SEAL 12-2. To do this, mix the two components, pour component B completely into component A and mix them with a low revolutions mechanical mixer, adjust the viscosity with our solvent DILUYENTE Nº1 until a maximum of 15%. Let the mixture repose for 10 minutes before its application. SEAL 12-2 can be applied with brush, paint roller or air-less. The time to use the mixture is about 1 hour at 20ºC. Do not apply with temperatures below –10ºC.

Consumption

150-200 gr. per m² and coat, depending on the roughness of the surface.
